| Another different guise for John Batchelor's team in 2003 - a £1million sponsorship deal with battery giants Varta sees the team run two cars for Tom Boardman and Jim Edwards Jnr - Boardman in a Peugeot 307 from the outset whilst Edwards will once again campaign a Honda Accord until his own 307 is ready - hopefully for the Thruxton meeting. Both drivers could be contenders for Production class honours.
Renowned for his innovative methods of attracting sponsors, John Batchelor first entered the BTCC under the 'Team B&Q' banner in 2001. He has since handed over driving driving responsibilities and taken up the role of team manager full time.
