SEAT Sport UK will work with Ray Mallock Limited as the brand enters the Green Flag MSA British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) for the first time this year.
SEAT Sport UK will enter two works SEAT Toledo Cupras in the 2004 BTCC, driven by the 2001 BTCC Champion Jason Plato and the 2003 Holiday Inn SEAT Cupra Champion Robert Huff. The cars will be built to ETCC specification by SEAT Sport in Barcelona and undergo a series of pre-season tests in Spain. Once the hi-tech race-prepared SEAT touring cars arrive in Britain, SEAT Sport UK and RML will work together to fine-tune and develop the Toledo Cupra for the very specific demands of the BTCC.
SEAT Sport UK will also continue to concentrate on running 20 Leon Cupra R racing cars in the 2004 SEAT Cupra Championship – which will race at selected rounds of the BTCC / TOCA Tour.
